Target Autism Courses for Spring 2014

Target Autism is pleased to announce the following training courses,
run by Angela Capper and Ron Fortuna.

ASD in the Mainstream:
Practical
Strategies
A two day course for teachers, support assistants and SENCo’s

Run with educational psychologist Philip Whitaker, this course provides a wide range of practical ideas and strategies, all based on insight into the unique learning style and challenges experienced  by children with ASD.
The course is suitable for anyone working with students with an ASD; whether new to the field or seeking to broaden their understanding and skills.

The cost of the two days is £100  per delegate for Northampton Town Schools (subsidised by NTAIP)

Preventing and Managing Challenging Behaviour
with Pupils on the Autism Spectrum

The Course:
Suitable for all school staff from KS1 to KS4.
The course will help delegates develop a greater understanding of the challenges faced by pupils on the Autism spectrum in the school environment and will provide practical strategies to prevent and manage resulting challenging behaviour.

Developing Literacy and Numeracy Skills
for Primary School Pupils on The Autism Spectrum
26th March 2014

The Course:
A practical course for all school staff working with pupils on the Autism Spectrum in Key Stages 1 and 2. Includes a useful CD resource for each delegate.

The Course:
Practical anxiety reduction strategies for school staff working with pupils in key stages 2, 3 and 4.

Includes a useful CD resource for each delegate outlining an anxiety reduction programme. Parents may also find this course useful to support their children in the home setting.
